Your lessons will be conducted within the Brentwood test centre area unless otherwise agreed. The test area includes Brentwood, Warley, Kelvedon Hatch, Shenfield. These areas include town driving, resedential areas, rural roads, dual carriageways, various types of roundabouts. Brentwood has many mini roundabouts so you will need to be confident with them including the notorious “Wilsons Corner” at the top of the town centre which is a very busy double mini roundabout. The town centre is a cobbled road with a high pedestrian footfall. The area is very hilly in places. Rural roads will almost certainly occur on your test and can include some very narrow and winding lanes. There is not much dual carriageway within Brentwood however it surrounds the outskirts of the area and may still feature on your test. The test centre is located in Junction road. There is no car park at the test centre (which means you will not be asked to perform the bay parking manoeuvre on your test). There are parking bays on the main road near the test centre which is most likely where your test will start and end.
